Double Storey Extension – From Soil to Slate

This double-storey extension project was fully managed by our team from the ground up, delivering a complete shell build from the initial excavation right through to the finished roof.

The project began with foundation excavations and concrete pours, creating a solid base for the new extension. From there, we carefully set out the underbuild in accordance with the architect’s drawings, ensuring every stage was completed accurately before construction commenced.

As the build progressed, we worked closely with the client to ensure all window and door openings were positioned exactly to suit their requirements and future living space. Careful planning and project management throughout meant materials were ordered and delivered on schedule, scaffolding was arranged at the right stages, and the build progressed smoothly with minimal stress for the homeowner.

The extension was constructed through to first-floor level before moving onto the roof structure and slate roof installation. To add a touch of character and complement the existing property, we incorporated decorative brick detailing within the gable end, creating a feature that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern construction.

As this was a self-build project, our work concluded at shell stage, leaving the client with a watertight, fully completed structure ready for their internal fit-out and finishing works.
