Welcome to B.J. Orme Brickwork & Construction. Based in Derbyshire, we are a premium construction company dedicated to transforming properties into structurally sound and aesthetically stunning homes. Founded on the principles of traditional craftsmanship and modern efficiency, we have quickly established a reputation for reliability and excellence. Whether it's a heritage restoration or a contemporary new build, we approach every project with the same level of care - as if we were working on our own homes.
Ben's career began in 2010, studying bricklaying at college where he achieved his Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork Skills. Over the next few years, he honed his practical skills working alongside various general builders, gaining invaluable on-site experience in real-world construction environments.
Believing that true craftsmanship requires continuous learning, Ben returned to college in 2018 to formalise his expertise. He successfully completed his City & Guilds NVQ Level 1 & 2, ensuring he held qualifications recognised worldwide for their rigorous standards. During this period, Ben worked extensively on building sites, specialising in creating high-specification new build properties.
In 2020, when the global pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Ben saw an opportunity. With a clear vision to provide a higher standard of service to homeowners, he founded B.J. Orme Brickwork & Construction. What started as an ambition to put his skills into practice has grown into a thriving company that seeks real pride and passion in every brick laid.
