Welcome to B.J. Orme Brickwork & Construction. Based in Derbyshire, we are a premium construction company dedicated to transforming properties into structurally sound and aesthetically stunning homes. Founded on the principles of traditional craftsmanship and modern efficiency, we have quickly established a reputation for reliability and excellence. Whether it's a heritage restoration or a contemporary new build, we approach every project with the same level of care—as if we were working on our own homes.
Ben's career began in 2010, studying bricklaying at college where he achieved his Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork Skills. Over the next few years, he honed his practical skills working alongside various general builders, gaining invaluable on-site experience in real-world construction environments.
Believing that true craftsmanship requires continuous learning, Ben returned to college in 2018 to formalize his expertise. He successfully completed his City & Guilds NVQ Level 1 & 2, ensuring he held qualifications recognized worldwide for their rigorous standards. During this period, Ben worked extensively on building sites, specializing in creating high-specification new build properties.
In 2020, when the global pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Ben saw an opportunity. With a clear vision to provide a higher standard of service to homeowners, he founded B.J. Orme Brickwork & Construction. What started as an ambition to put his skills into practice has grown into a thriving company that seeks real pride and passion in every brick laid.
